About Turkish Places

Turkish Places is part of the Serenity Holidays group. Serenity Holidays is an independent, privately owned tour operator which was established in 1987 by husband and wife team Stephen and Sandra Wilde. Still owned by the couple, the company maintains it's original principles of providing specialist holidays with a superior service but at affordable prices.

Serenity Holidays trade under a handful of specialist brands, including The Gambia Experience, The Cape Verde Experience, Corsican Places and Great Escapes, each managed and staffed by teams of specialists.

Turkish Places , a relatively new addition to the group, was launched in 2005, when the Managining Director Chris Rowles, who had worked in Turkey in the 1980's, saw the opportunity to offer a more authentic style of accommodation in select areas to respresent the essence of the unspoilt Turkey remembered from the time there before it was 'discovered'.

Our Turkey team select each property individually, searching for places that we would want to stay in ourselves, whether it be a traditional hideaway to escape to, or the luxury of a private villa or exclusive character hotel. Effectively to provide holidays to Turkey that are defintely not 'mass-market'.

Our dedicated Turkey team and reservations staff regularly visit our properties and have first hand knowledge to help our customers choose the holiday that is right for them. We are genuinely excited about our programme in Turkey and whilst keeping within areas we feel are still unspoilt, offer clients a more traditional Turkish experience.
