Bora's Lodge Cottages

Wow, what a place! Win the lottery and buy a little cottage on secure private grounds in Turkey's countryside, taking in local village life where the sun shines every day. Yes that's me dreaming, although that actually is Bora's Lodge, especially the little red cottage here - It's a dream place which you would buy if you won the lottery.

There are two cottages in the grounds, along with the owner's residence, which is a bit like a small mansion!! The owner's have a pool beside their residence, which you will have the use of too, so you will become friends. That said, back at the cottage it's very private.

The white cottage has quite a mixed style to it, with a kitchen and bathroom that are very modern and new, whereas the furniture in the lounge was quite authentic and traditional in comparison, but still overall it had a fresh feel with the white walls.

The red cottage is a refurbished old cottage which is not as light inside as the white cottage, mainly because the colours are so rich, but the cottage oozes character, which is why I loved it. It felt like being part of a fairytale with it's setting in amongst the trees and bushes.

It's a perfect escape away for a typical Turkish experience, but is a good drive inland to in a country village so not for beach lovers or people wanting a lively party.
