Queen Ada
Choosing between the pool and the sea is as stressful as it gets!
Set in the beautiful bay of Torba, right on the beach, Queen Ada is a gem of a hotel with a unique location. The site was chosen long ago by the Byzantines as a place of beauty and contemplation – the ruins of their monastery still sit alongside the hotel.
Incredibly stylish throughout, the hotel has contemporary bedrooms with local-style wooden floors, and split-level lounge areas. The hotel offers both indoor and outdoor dining options including a beachside garden restaurant.
The free-form swimming pool is just a few metres from the sea and the sundecks on the jetty are sheer indulgence! The pebble beach allows for lovely clear waters, and snorkeling is popular around the rocky headland just along from the hotel.

Queen Ada hotel
By Christine - Product Manager
If you're looking for a small, high quality hotel right on the beach, then go for the Queen Ada. Location-wise the hotel is hard to beat, it's beautifully positioned at the end of the small, relatively quiet bay so you don't get a steady stream of people walking by, and even better, you are only about a ten minute walk to the centre of Torba where you can find a nice selection of restaurants so it's handy to wander over there in the evening.
The hotel has just 22 rooms set in lovely gardens, it is extremely stylish and with a first-rate service. I loved the jetty-style sundecks strewn with large blue beanbags for sunbathing on, and the fact that the swimming pool is practically on the beach, so you can hop from the pool to the sea in a couple of strides! I really looked forward to the breakfasts a fine spread of fresh Turkish produce including fresh and dried fruits, cereals, cheeses, yoghurts, local honey, jams and bread. The beachside bar offers snacks, drinks and freshly squeezed juices during the day, and for the evenings if you fancy "staying in" there's an a la carte restaurant set in the gardens overlooking the sea.
During August, the hotel is popular with high society guests from Istanbul and the rest of the summer the guests are normally a mixture of European and American.
On the whole it is a stunning hotel and well worth paying a little extra for.
