Sude Evi
Located in a quiet bay backed by pine-clad hills
Tucked away amongst the citrus groves at one end of Çakilliyali Bay, the two small cottages, Sude Evi and Merve Evi, share a large rambling garden full of mandarin trees which has direct access onto the beach. The cottages are comfortably furnished and each has its own terrace set with table and chairs for outdoor dining. Set right off the beaten track, this picturesque bay remains blissfully uncrowded right through the summer. If you fancy a night off from cooking, Çiçek Pension, just along the bay, offers tasty Turkish cuisine, and it’s just a fifteen-minute walk to the next bay along where there is a small handful of local restaurants. Mazi village with its mosque, corner shop, and scattering of houses sits in the hills, just four kilometres inland, and there are some lovely places nearby to visit along the gulf of Gökova.
Accommodation
Lounge with air-conditioning, kitchen, double bedroom, single bedroom, shower room and wc, terrace. An extra folding type bed can be placed in the lounge of either cottage upon request.
Facilities
4 ring hob, fridge with freezer section. Washing machine (located in utility area in garden) shared by both cottages.

If you want a holiday where you are based in a beautiful quiet bay, backed by citrus groves with peace and quiet, then this is the place for you.
To get to the cottages you walk up through the orange trees in the garden along a small footpath. It is definitely not ideal for the less mobile among us.
Both cottages were modern inside; it was not what I was expecting. I thought they would be quite derelict and old fashioned. How wrong I was. They both had the mod cons you would expect such as a fridge freezer, BBQ, and also a washing machine in a utility area shared by both cottages.
It was so peaceful, turning the pages in my book sounded noisy!
There weren’t a lot of options nearby for evening meals. You could pop to The Pension next door and have local Turkish food, or pop to the supermarket a few kilometres up the road and have a nice BBQ out on the terrace.
